Terms of use
Last updated 12 October 2026 · Norsk
These terms apply to the Logbook app and the services on logbook.no from Peks AS. When you use the app, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.
In short
- Your logbook is your responsibility. The app helps you keep it, but you are responsible for it being correct.
- Estimates are estimates. Night time, limits, fatigue and flight status are aids, not a basis for operational decisions.
- Be decent to others. Harassment, abuse and other people's personal data do not belong in the community.
- Logbook Pro renews automatically through Apple until you cancel.
1. The service
Logbook is a logbook for pilots and cabin crew. The app is in beta, and features may change, move or be removed. The logbook, import and export do not need a subscription. Some features need an optional account or Logbook Pro.
2. Your logbook is your responsibility
- You are responsible for what you log being correct and complete, and for your logbook meeting the requirements of your aviation authority, your employer and anyone else who sets requirements for it.
- Figures the app calculates or fetches, such as night time, landings, limits, currencies, certificate deadlines and flight status, are aids. Check them before you use them in an official context.
- The app does not replace your operator's systems, flight documents or official sources.
- Keep backups. The app makes them automatically, and you can export your logbook at any time.
3. Sleep and fatigue
Sleep and fatigue gives an estimate based on your sleep and your roster. It is not a medical assessment and does not say whether you are fit for duty. Only you decide that, under the regulations and your operator's procedures. If in doubt, follow the procedures for reporting unfit.
4. Live flight status
Gate, times and aircraft come from third parties and may be wrong or late. Always use your operator's own sources when it matters.
5. Account and community
An account is personal. Use your own name and a private e-mail address, and keep your sign-in to yourself.
Suggestions, comments, profiles, aircraft names and chat with the team make up the community. There, the following applies:
- No harassment, abuse, threats, discrimination, sexual content or spam.
- Do not share other people's personal data, and do not share your employer's internal or confidential information.
- Nothing illegal, and nothing that infringes other people's rights.
- Do not pretend to be someone else, and do not misuse reporting.
We have zero tolerance for content and behaviour that breaks these rules. You can report content and users and block other users in the app. We look at reports as quickly as we can, remove content that breaks the terms, and may restrict or close accounts, for a period or for good. If you think we got it wrong, write to kontakt@logbook.no.
What you write is yours. You give us the right to show it in the service for as long as it is there. Only share your roster with people you trust; you decide who your friends are and what is shared.
6. Logbook Pro
Logbook Pro is an auto-renewable subscription that unlocks the features marked Pro in the app, today Sleep and fatigue and live flight status.
- Price: the price is shown in the app before you buy. In Norway it costs NOK 29 a month, NOK 199 a year, or NOK 19 a month for twelve months for the yearly plan paid monthly, NOK 228 in all. In other countries the price shown in the App Store applies.
- Free trial: its length is shown in the app before you buy. A trial is available once per Apple Account. Cancel at least 24 hours before it ends and you are not charged.
- Renewal: the subscription renews automatically for the same period and is charged to your Apple Account, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Yearly plan paid monthly: you commit to twelve monthly payments. The cancellation terms are shown in the App Store when you buy.
- Cancelling: in iOS Settings under your name › Subscriptions. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple.
- Family Sharing is on: one subscription covers your family group.
- Changes: we may change which features are included, and the price. Price increases are announced through Apple under Apple's rules before they apply to you.
7. Operation and availability
We do our best to keep the service working, but it is provided as is, and features that use our server may have interruptions. Should we shut down a feature or the whole service, your logbook stays on your devices and in iCloud, and you can export it.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Peks AS is not liable for indirect loss, lost data or the consequences of decisions made from figures or estimates in the app. This does not limit your rights as a consumer under mandatory law.
9. Ending
You can stop using the app whenever you like, and delete your account under Settings › Profile › Delete account. We may close an account that breaks the terms. You cancel a subscription at Apple.
10. Changes to the terms
When we change the terms, we update the date at the top. We tell you about major changes in the app before they apply. If you use the service after that, the new terms apply.
11. Governing law and disputes
Norwegian law applies. We first try to settle any disagreement directly with you. As a consumer you can also complain to the Norwegian Consumer Council, Forbrukerrådet. This does not limit the rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
